The Complete Drinking Water Test Kit is a drinking water test kit for UK households that want a broad first screen rather than one narrow contaminant check. It brings chlorine, fluoride, lead, E. coli/coliform and arsenic screening into one home kit, so it is useful when your concern is mixed, uncertain, linked to a private supply, or part of a wider water-quality check.
 
What it tests:
Chlorine additives at low levels in water samples: testing range 0-1ppm, minimum detection 0.05ppm.
Fluoride additives at low levels in water samples: testing range 0-1.5ppm, minimum detection 0.1ppm.
Lead contamination at low levels in water samples: testing range 0-15ppb, minimum detection 0-4ppb.
E. coli/coliform bacteria contamination at low levels in water samples: minimum detection 0-1cfu.(meaning a single bacteria in a sample)
Arsenic contamination at low levels in water samples: testing range 0-300ppb, minimum detection 0-10ppb.
Each kit contains 1x Lead test, 1x Arsenic test, 1x E. coli bacteria test, 5x Chlorine tests and 5x Fluoride tests, 13 tests total.
 
The UK standard:
Lead: 10 µg/l at the tap. The World Health Organization says: “There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects.”
Arsenic: 10 µg/l.
E. coli: 0 per 100 ml, none should be found.
Fluoride: “The maximum permitted value of fluoride in drinking water is 1.5mg/l (milligrams per litre).” (Drinking Water Inspectorate)
Chlorine: no legal maximum. “Typically, water companies keep the level of residual disinfectant in the form of free or combined chlorine to 0.5 mg/l or less.” (Drinking Water Inspectorate)

How to use:
Follow the kit instructions and use the recommended sample point. For most drinking-water checks, the cold kitchen tap is the practical starting point unless the instructions or your situation require a different sample. Record the sample date, tap, source and any recent plumbing, taste, smell or supply changes.
 
What the result can and cannot tell you:
This is a home screening result for the sample tested at that time. It does not prove future safety, replace official mains-water investigation, or provide accredited laboratory confirmation.
 
What to do next:
If your result is clear and expected, keep it with your household records. If it is surprising, near an important reference point, or linked to symptoms, repeat the relevant check or use the Result Interpretation Centre before buying another test. For mains-water incidents, contact your water company where the issue is sudden, strong, persistent or affects several homes. For private supplies, local council guidance or laboratory confirmation may be needed.
