Common Contaminants We Test For:
Fluoride:
Added to some UK water supplies for dental health, fluoride levels are tightly regulated. However, excessive fluoride exposure over time can cause fluorosis or other health concerns.
Our fluoride test kits detect levels as low as 0.1 ppm, allowing you to monitor your exposure against the UK limit of 1.5 ppm.
Lead:
Lead contamination often originates from older pipes or fixtures. The UK’s maximum permissible level is 10 µg/L (10 ppb), but even trace exposure is considered unsafe, particularly for children and pregnant women.

E. Coli & Coliform Bacteria:
Bacterial contamination is an urgent safety issue. UK regulations require zero E. coli or coliform bacteria in any drinking water sample.

Arsenic:
Naturally occurring arsenic can infiltrate groundwater in certain UK regions. The regulatory limit is 10 µg/L (10 ppb).

Chlorine:
Chlorine is used to disinfect water, but excessive levels can affect taste, smell, and potentially irritate skin.
Our chlorine test strips detect concentrations as low as 0.05 ppm, allowing you to verify your water remains within the typical UK guideline range of 0.2–0.5 ppm.
