What it tests:
- Lead contamination at low levels in water samples: testing range 0-15ppb, minimum detection 0-4ppb.
- E. coli/coliform bacteria contamination at low levels in water samples: minimum detection 0-1cfu.
- Each kit contains 1x Lead test and 1x E. coli bacteria test, 2 tests total.
The UK standard:
- Lead: 10 µg/l at the tap. The World Health Organization says: “There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects.”
- E. coli: 0 per 100 ml, none should be found.
Best for:
- Older homes where lead plumbing is a specific concern.
- Private supplies where bacteria screening is also relevant.
- A narrower bundle when arsenic, chlorine and fluoride are not part of the decision.

How to use:
Follow the kit instructions and use the recommended sample point. For most drinking-water checks, the cold kitchen tap is the practical starting point unless the instructions or your situation require a different sample. Record the sample date, tap, source and any recent plumbing, taste, smell or supply changes.

This is a home screening result for the sample tested at that time. It does not prove future safety, replace official mains-water investigation, or provide accredited laboratory confirmation.

If either result is unexpected, treat the result as a prompt for interpretation and possible confirmation. For private supplies or formal decisions, council or laboratory routes may be needed.
